Some More Changes to the Prayer Guide

Over the next couple of months we're going to be experimenting with some changes to the prayer guide. Our goal is to help you to engage in prayer more consistently and in ways you might not have experienced before. For our next sermon series we're going to try connecting the prayer guide to the Sunday topics, but for this week we are going to pray related to the year in review we did this last Sunday. If you didn't get a chance to participate in the service, head on over to the website to check it out.

Presence

Find a comfortable place to slow down, be still, and wake up to God's loving presence.

Lord, revive our love for you. Draw close, let us know your presence in our lives. And help us to in turn share your love with our neighbors. Lord, we put our hope in your unfailing love. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Review of 2021

Pray that you would be open to see the things God wants to show you. Be open to 'positive' and 'negative' events and patterns from this last year that God might want you to be aware of and speak to you about.

Psalm 139:23-24

23 Search me, God, and know my heart;
   test me and know my anxious thoughts.
24 See if there is any offensive way in me,
   and lead me in the way everlasting.

Closing Prayer

Lord God, almighty and everlasting Father, you have brought us in safety to this new day: Preserve us with your mighty power, that we may not fall into sin, nor be overcome by adversity; and in all we do, direct us to the fulfilling of your purpose; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
